Twinkle & Kajol Address Talk Show Backlash: “Don’t Take Us Seriously”
The duo clarified that their comments were intended purely as humour and light banter, not genuine advice.
🔹 Reaction to the Controversy
In a recently released bonus episode, recorded after the initial episodes had aired, the hosts openly addressed the online debate.
Kajol acknowledged that their comments stirred mixed reactions and said:
“This segment has gotten us into a lot of trouble. Opinions here don’t matter as much as lighthearted teasing.”
Twinkle admitted they could have handled expectations better:
“We should have had a disclaimer from the first episode. Nothing we say in this segment should be taken seriously.”
She emphadata-sized that audiences should not follow the advice given during the playful segments.
🔹 Moments That Sparked Public Debate
Several segments from earlier episodes went viral, especially those featuring vicky kaushal and Kriti Sanon.
In the This or That round:
Kajol suggested that marriages should have an “expiry date” with the option to renew, generating divided opinions.
Another heated conversation emerged during the episode with janhvi kapoor and karan johar, where the topic was physical vs emotional cheating.
Karan Johar stated, “Physical infidelity is not a deal breaker.”
Janhvi Kapoor countered: “No, the deal is broken.”
Twinkle added that perspectives change with age and experience:
“We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s. She hasn’t seen what we’ve seen. Raat gayi baat gayi.”
🔹 Bonus episode and Guest Line-Up
The bonus episode addressing the backlash features cricketers Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma.
The show initially premiered with salman khan and aamir khan as the opening guests.
Subsequent guests include karan johar, alia bhatt, varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, janhvi kapoor, and others.
