Jaideep revealed that playing Rukma gave him a rare sense of freedom as an actor.

“My character is nothing like Hathiram Chaudhary… Then I realized you don’t understand it, you just enjoy both sides of it.”

Ahlawat pointed out that both Paatal Lok and the family man 3 took him to the same region in Nagaland, despite portraying completely different characters.

“There’s a place where I stood first as Hathiram, and later as Rukma. Same place, two different men.”

The transformation in art direction and character made the location feel completely new to him.

Jokingly added that Nagaland has become like his “second home” and the government should give him a house for how much he’s shot in Kohima.
