Bollywood superstar salman khan is facing online backlash for a controversial comment made on bigg boss 19.

During the weekend episode, Salman’s sarcastic remark about contestant Farrhana Bhatt was labelled sexist and tone-deaf by viewers.

The actor joked that Farrhana was “exactly the kind of daughter-in-law people want,” sparking criticism for reinforcing gender stereotypes.

The incident occurred during a segment where Ashnoor Kaur described Farrhana as “negative.”

Ashnoor said, “She’s spreading negativity in the house; I honestly don’t know how her journey outside will be.”

Salman responded with a mocking comment about Farrhana’s temperament:

 “Jab inki baat shaadi vyah tak jaayegi toh gharwale puchenge ladki kaisi hai? Oh ho gaaliyan bakti hai, jhagde karti hai, plate todti hai, yahi bahu chahiye humko. Bache ki zindagi barbaad kardegi. Isi peace activist ki talaash thi humko aapne bache ke liye.”

Translated, he joked that a girl who fights and abuses would “ruin her husband’s life” and sarcastically called her a “peace activist.”

Social media Outrage

Viewers condemned the remark as misogynistic and demeaning to women.

One user wrote: “Salman’s comment on Farrhana gave me the ick… Why are such jokes always directed at women?”

Another comment read: “What’s their obsession with Farhana’s rishta? MISOGYNY ON TOP.”

A viewer added: “Salman himself isn’t marriage material; he shouldn’t mock women like this.”

Some also criticized Ashnoor Kaur for laughing and agreeing with Salman’s comment, calling it hypocritical.
