During the shooting of this film, Rahul was facing personal and professional challenges. In a conversation with E-Times, rahul said that in an attempt to continue the work, he had to data-face diabetes, high blood pressure, and a heart attack.

Rahul said, 'My mother was in the ICU. I was suffering pain. But I did not take leave. Shah Rukh Khan was on the set, and I had to shoot with him. I used to stay with my mother in the hospital at night and come to the set to show that everything is normal. It was like a nightmare. But you cannot bring your problems to the set.'


Rahul further said, 'Our industry is a performance-driven industry, where people are afraid to say no. There is always a fear of being thrown out. No one wants to look weak. This is a big problem. It is always a do-or-die situation.'


Rahul Dholakia's journey

Rahul started his career by making documentaries and commercials. He made his directorial debut in films with Kehta Hai dil Baar Baar in 2002. He also directed films like Parzania and Agni.
