Unni Mukundan's film 'Marco' has suffered a major setback. This film is being streamed on the OTT platform. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has demanded a ban on this film. A CBFC officer has demanded the chairman of the committee seek intervention from the central government to stop the streaming of the film on OTT. The film 'Marco' is believed to be one of the most violent films in the malayalam industry.

The CBFC had already rejected the right to broadcast it on tv due to the excessive violence shown in the film. kerala Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan had already condemned the violenceshown in this film. According to him, this film will incite the youth to violence in real life.


Speaking to manorama News, CBFC regional officer Nadeem Tufail said that 'CBFC has already given an A certificate to Marco. parents should warn their children before watching the film. CBFC's role is limited to certification and does not include censorship. We have already banned its telecast on tv because this film is not for family audiences.'

In the film, unni mukundan says that 'Violence has been an important part of human development. We have got peace due to war. Above all, our biggest goal is to survive. I am not saying that this is an excuse to show violence on screen, but the truth is that violence exists in our society. Marco does not show even 10 percent of the violencethat exists in our society.'
