Filmmaker subhash ghai was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra due to ill health. His spokesperson said late saturday evening that the director's condition is now fine.

The spokesperson said in a statement that the director has been admitted for routine checkup. He said, "We want to confirm that subhash ghai is absolutely fine. He has been admitted for routine checkup and his condition is improving. Thank you all for your love and concern." Earlier, the hospital said in a statement - Subhash has previously been a patient of ischemic heart disease and was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. He was admitted to the ICU under the supervision of Dr. Rohit Deshpande.

Has received National Award

In the year 2006, he received the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues for producing the social problem film 'Iqbal'. In the same year, he founded the Whistling Woods international Film and media Institute in Mumbai. Recently, the filmmaker attended the 55th edition of the international Film festival of india in Goa. His memoir, 'Karma Ka Balak: The Story of the Last Showman of indian Cinema' was released here. His film 'Taal' was also screened at this film festival. He last produced and wrote the comedy-drama streaming film '36 Farmhouse' which was released in 2022.
