Vivek Oberoi talked about the challenging phase of his career when he was unemployed for about one and a half years. He saw this phase even after giving the hit film 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' in his career. He also said that due to constant stress and pressure, he was affected very badly. Due to this, he started feeling tired.

In a recent interview with indian Express, vivek oberoi called the film industry an unsafe place. He said, 'I have done about 67 projects in 22 years, but the industry is a very unsafe place. You can do good work, win awards, and do your work as an actor, but at the same time, you may have to data-face unemployment due to other reasons.'

Vivek Oberoi remained unemployed for about 15 months despite the success of 'Shootout at Lokhandwala' in 2007. Talking about this, the actor said, 'After the year 2007, when I did Shootout at Lokhandwala and the song 'Ganpat' went viral, I won awards, so I expected to get many offers now. But, this did not happen, instead, I sat at home for about one and a half years.'


Vivek Oberoi said that in the year 2009, he took an important decision. Instead of relying on the industry, he focused on financial independence. He decided that he would not let external forces mess with his future. The actor said that stepping into business gave him the freedom he wanted. According to Vivek, 'Cinema will always be his passion, but he saw business as Plan B for livelihood. This step helped him gain freedom from the insecurities of the industry. Talking about vivek Oberoi's work front, he has signed four films including 'Masti 4'.
