Parliamentary Affairs minister Mukesh Mahaling informed that on november 28, the odisha government announced the removal of entertainment tax from 'The Sabarmati Report'.



Chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on his X handle, 'The people's government has decided to make the film 'Sabarmati Report', based on a true incident, tax-free in Odisha. The film shows how kar sevaks were burnt alive in the Godhra fire incident to fulfill their vested interests and create unrest. This film will give goosebumps, as it brings out the heartbreaking truth of the past and makes the general public more aware.'


Earlier on Monday, Ekta along with the team of 'The Sabarmati Report' attended a special screening of the film with prime minister Narendra Modi in Delhi. PM Modi praised the filmmakers for their effort in making the film. The PM said in a post on X, "Joined the screening of 'The Sabarmati Report' with fellow nda MPs. I appreciate the makers of the film for their efforts."


The film's actor vikrant massey described attending the screening as the most important moment of his career. After the screening, Vikrant shared his experience with the media and said, "I watched the film with the prime minister, all cabinet ministers, and many MPs. It was a special experience. I still cannot fully express it in words, because I am very happy...It is at the highest point of my career that I got a chance to watch my film with the Prime Minister."
