Following a threatening call on a police hotline indicating plans to assassinate bollywood celebrity Shah Rukh Khan, the Bandra police in mumbai have filed a complaint against an unidentified individual. Together with the Cyber police Station, the police have started an investigation. Sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita have been used to register the complaint. In recent months, salman khan, another actor, has received a number of threats similar to the one made against Shah Rukh Khan. In order to protect the performers and track down the caller, authorities are working.

A call demanding ₹50 lakh and threatening Shah Rukh Khan was received by the Bandra police station. A recorded offense has been committed. "A senior police official told news agency PTI that no arrests have been made as of yet."
According to reports, the call was traced back to Raipur, Chhattisgarh, by the mumbai police team. The probe is still ongoing, and teams have now departed for Chhattisgarh.
Salman Khan was the target of a threat message sent to the mumbai police earlier on november 5 by the lawrence Bishnoi gang. The actor was given two choices in the threat message: either apologize or pay ₹5 crore to be alive.
Gangster lawrence Bishnoi sent a threat message over whatsapp to the mumbai police traffic control center, stating that salman khan must live if he wishes to survive.
"He need to visit our shrine and offer an apology or ₹5 crore. The message purporting to be from lawrence Bishnoi's brother stated, "If he doesn't do so, we will kill him, our gang is still active."
