In fact, in a recent conversation with Humans of bombay, patralekha recalled her first meeting and said, “I had just seen LSD. His first film. About three days later, one of my school friends called me. He said, 'Can you make this video for me. This is a music video, and I am calling another actor named Rajkumar. He was just on LSD. I said Rukhsana, no, I am not coming because I think he is very scary and I was scared. She said nothing will happen, we will send a car for you, and why don't you bring your sister with you? I said, 'Okay, let's see,'
Patralekhaa further revealed that she made her sister sit between her and raj and they started talking. She felt awkward because he was the "scary guy" in that film. She kept pinching her sister and telling her not to talk to him. It got awkward because the journey from mumbai to pune was long. She recalled, "So, he was like, 'Hey, what do you do?' I said, 'I have done these ads.' And as soon as I said that, I noticed something changed and as per the story, he said he had seen that particular ad and he said, 'I want to marry this girl.'
How did patralekha fall in love with Rajkumar?
patralekha also told how she fell in love with Rajkumar. She said that when they reached FTII and started filming the video, she realized how emotional he was. patralekha said, "We were there for three days. He was a completely different person. Someone who loved his art so much, and was so passionate about his work. It was very rare, and I couldn't stop myself from falling in love with him. I was like, 'Oh my god, this man is all about his work and passion and he has so much honesty and depth.' Most of us, at that time, when we were doing the audition rounds, everyone was doing it either to get rich or to get famous... but he was the person who was just doing it for the love of his art.''
