South's mass Maharaja ravi teja had high hopes for his recently released film 'Mr Bachchan'. The film was directed by director harish shankar, who has directed the successful remakes of 'Jigarthanda' and 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh'. 'Mr. Bachchan' is a remake of the 2018 hindi film 'Raid'. It stars bhagyashree Borse in the lead role along with ravi Teja. The film was released in theaters on 15 august but failed to make a splash at the box office. The producers have suffered a huge loss, given that the lead actor and director have taken a big step.
According to a report by india Glitz, ravi and Harish have voluntarily returned 16 percent of their fees to the producers to compensate for the losses. Another report claims that ravi teja has returned Rs four crore and harish shankar has returned Rs two crore from his fee. The duo decided to reduce the burden on the producers considering the poor performance of the film at the box office.
On the work front, ravi teja has two films in the pipeline. One is directed by Gopichand Malineni and the other is directed by bhanu Bhogavarapu. Meanwhile, Harish has a film titled 'Ustad Bhagat Singh',which is the telugu remake of the 2016 tamil film 'Theri'. It will star pawan kalyan in the lead role.
