Can Controversy Save Disaster Machine’s Career?

S Venkateshwari
Since starring in her previous big film Tanu Weds manu Returns in 2015, kangana ranaut has been delivering catastrophe after disaster. With the exception of the mediocre hit Manikarnika, all of her movies have been enormous failures. All the way from chandramukhi 2, Thalaivi, Dhaakad, Simran, Rangoon, and I love NY. She became the female Akshay Kumar, a machine for disasters.

In the most recent lok sabha elections, she became victorious as the mp for himachal pradesh after joining the BJP. She is now filming Emergency, in which she plays indira gandhi, one of India's most formidable and contentious prime ministers. With the film's september 6 release date drawing near, kangana ranaut has caused a great deal of controversy. Because of the way she portrayed indira gandhi on social media, she has now received death threats.

A guy is shown in an internet video threatening to use violence if the movie, which is anticipated to deal with delicate political subjects, is published. One of the threats is to decapitate kangana ranaut over her contentious portrayal of Sikhs. Controversy has also been heightened by kangana Ranaut's recent remarks on the farmers' protest.

Her own party, the BJP, has distanced itself from her comments after receiving outrage and condemnation from many political sectors about her claims about rapes, violence, and plots during the demonstration. With all of these scandals creating a lot of talk about Emergency, it's still unclear if kangana ranaut will benefit financially from the increased visibility. Nonetheless, a lot of industry observers believe that her movie Emergency will still fail in spite of all these issues.
