Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nani Reunite in Hyderabad
Nani and samantha Ruth Prabhu, who previously starred together in the hit film eega (also known as Makkhi), recently had a surprise reunion in Hyderabad. Both actors are currently occupied with busy schedules: nani is promoting his new film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, while samantha is involved in multiple projects.
Their chance meeting occurred during a flight to Mumbai. Excited by the encounter, samantha posted a selfie with nani on her instagram Stories, expressing her joy and wishing him success with his new film. nani reciprocated by sharing the same selfie on his social media, extending his best wishes to samantha for her upcoming projects.
In the selfie, both stars are seen flashing bright smiles, dressed stylishly in trendy outfits and sunglasses. Besides their collaboration in SS Rajamouli’s action thriller eega, they also appeared together in the romantic drama Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu.
Samantha captioned the selfie, “Nani, the sweetest surprise today! All the very best for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,” to which nani replied, “Thank you Sam! Wishing you the best with all the new beginnings.”
Fans of the duo will soon be able to revisit their 2012 film Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, which will be re-released in select theaters in andhra pradesh and telangana starting august 2. This telugu film, directed by gautham Vasudev Menon, was also shot in tamil as Neethane En Ponvasantham with Jiiva. There were plans for a hindi version featuring samantha and Aditya Roy Kapur, but it was never completed.
On the work front, Nani's Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is set to hit theaters on august 29, and he is also working on nani 32, directed by Sujeeth. samantha, meanwhile, will star in the indian spin-off of priyanka Chopra’s Citadel series, titled Citadel: Honey Bunny, alongside varun dhawan and directed by raj and DK. Additionally, she is working on Bangaram, which is scheduled for release in 2025.
