Raveena Tandon Files Rs 100 Crore Defamation Suit Over 'Fake' Road Rage Video
Actress raveena tandon has filed a defamation notice against the individual who posted a video of a crowd mocking her on Twitter.The defamation notice, sent through Raveena Tandon's advocate Sana Raees Khan, stated that the actor had informed the man of the correct facts revealed by the police. Despite this, the man demanded that raveena tandon send a request letter to remove the video from his X (formerly Twitter) account, which she did on june 5 via email.
"However, you (the man) have denied deleting the post from your handle and threatened our client to initiate legal action if the said request letter is not withdrawn within 24 hours," the notice stated, as per PTI.
Raveena’s lawyer Sana Raees Khan said, "Recently, an attempt was made to embroil Raveena in a false and frivolous complaint whichwas clarified in CCTV footage andno complaint was filed. However, recently, a person claiming to be a journalist is disseminating false information on X regarding the said incident, which is factually incorrect and misleading," quoted by india Today.
In her notice, raveena tandon accused the man of defaming her on social media and news portals with admittedly fake news that is derogatory and intended to cause her public humiliation and mental distress.
"This dissemination of false news appears to be a deliberate attempt to tarnish Raveena’s reputation for ulterior motives. The intent behind continuously spreading these falsehoods seems to be rooted in extortion and a desire to gain cheap publicity at the expense of Raveena’s dignity. We are currently taking all necessary legal steps to address this issue and ensure that justice is served and action is taken against him for perpetuating this defamatory campaign”, said advocate sana Khan.
