Did You Know New MPs Kangana Ranaut, andChirag Paswan Did A movie Together? It Was A box office Disaster

Actor-turned-politician kangana ranaut once shared the screen space with Lok Janshakti party president chirag paswan in the 2011 film, 'Miley Naa Miley Hum'.

Kangana Ranaut won the Mandi lok sabha seat in himachal pradesh on her electoral debut. According to the election commission of India, the bollywood star emerged victorious by a margin of 74,755 votes. On the other hand, Lok Janshakti party (Ram Vilas) president chirag paswan also won the hajipur lok sabha seat in Bihar. He defeated the RJD rival by over 1.70 lakh votes. As kangana ranaut begins her political career and chirag paswan starts his third term as MP, their reunion in parliament reminds us of their on-screen collaboration.

Kangana Ranaut and chirag paswan starred in the bollywood film Miley Naa Miley Hum

For the uninitiated, kangana and Chirag shared the screen space in the 2011 sports drama, 'Miley Naa Miley Hum'. The film marked Paswan’s Bollywood debut alongside Ranaut, who had already delivered a few hits. However, this collaboration ended up being a box office fiasco, and critics did not shy away from rating it as low as 0.5 stars. The film directed by Tanveer Khan also starred Neeru Bajwa and sagarika ghatge in pivotal roles.

The film revolves around Chirag, the protagonist, an aspiring tennis player who lacks support from his family. They want him to get married and start a family. He confesses to them his love for Anishka (Kangana Ranaut). The sports flick depicts their fight with his parents and his attempts to keep playing tennis.

Chirag Paswan's foray into politics

After the massive box office failure, chirag paswan bid farewell to the film industry and turned to politics. In the 2014 lok sabha elections, he won the Jamui seat in Bihar. Meanwhile, kangana ranaut went on to feature in big banner films such as ‘Krrish 3’, ‘Queen’, and ‘Tanu Weds manu Returns’.

Paswan left his seat in Jamui, where he was serving his second consecutive term, to run for hajipur, a constituency previously represented by his late father, ram Vilas Paswan. On the other hand, kangana defeated Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh, the son of former himachal pradesh Chief minister Virbhadra Singh. Previously, Singh has contested two assembly elections and this is his first bid for a parliamentary seat.

Chirag and kangana would be part of the nda coalition because of the Lok Janshakti Party's alliance with the BJP.
