In a conversation, he revealed that even after the breakup of the two actors, there was no impact on the shooting of the film. Imtiaz said, "Most of the film was shot. We had to shoot two days after his so-called breakup. He was professional at that time." During this conversation, Imtiaz also revealed that actors bobby deol and preity zinta were his original choices for the lead roles. He said that while he was doing the film Socha Na Tha with actor cousin Abhay Deol, he was trying to make a film with Bobby.
