Interestingly, 90 people belonging to the same family came to vote at the same time in Sivakasi.90 people from the same family came near sivakasi on tractors and two-wheelers and cast their votes in the parliamentary elections. More than 700 people belonging to 25 families live in Pusaripatti village near Sivakasi. 150 members of Perumalsamy's family have been living as a joint family for generations. Today, ahead of the parliamentary elections, 90 people who have the right to vote in this family cast their votes in the Mamsapuram government High school polling center which is about 4 kilometers away in vehicles including tractors and bikes. Similarly, 55 members of the Chakkamuthu family and 40 members of the Vedimuthu family, who are a joint family, went and voted at the same time. While the government is insisting on 100% voting, this joint family says that all members of their family have voted without fail and despite their agricultural work, they are happy and proud to have done their democratic duty today by giving up agricultural work.

Apart from living as a joint family, the event of unitedly performing their democratic duty also created a sense of humor and interest among the villagers.
