More than 700 people belonging to 25 families live in Pusaripatti village near Sivakasi. 150 members of Perumalsamy's family have been living as a joint family for generations. Today, ahead of the parliamentary elections, 90 people who have the right to vote in this family cast their votes in the Mamsapuram government High school polling center which is about 4 kilometers away in vehicles including tractors and bikes. Similarly, 55 members of the Chakkamuthu family and 40 members of the Vedimuthu family, who are a joint family, went and voted at the same time.
