If all had gone according to plan, Nandamuri supporters would have celebrated today greatly as Jr. NTR's Devara was almost ready for release. Since the movie was once scheduled to be released on april 5th, NTR's followers would have celebrated april 4th like a festival today. Nevertheless, vijay deverakonda filled the april 5th spot after Devara was rescheduled to a later date. On april 5, His Family Star will be released in theatres.
With Tarak, Koratala, and Anirudh joining forces, Devara would ideally have been the first pan-Indian film from tollywood with a superstar leading role, and the anticipation would have been enormous. The opening statistics for the Hindi, domestic, and USA premieres should have raised a great deal of expectation. Given that Devara was Tarak's direct follow-up to RRR, it should have been the talk of the town by now. Nevertheless, Family Star took over and is now the focus of attention due to Devara's delay.
