For Kathanar, Anushka Shetty is receiving a fee of Rs 5 crore
Anushka Shetty’s last project, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, was a moderately successful film. It earned good reviews, which helped anushka reclaim her position as a bankable star after the failures of Sye Raa Narsimha reddy and Nishabdham. The success of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty has paved the way for her to explore beyond telugu cinema. Now, she will be seen making her entry into malayalam cinema with the fantasy thriller film, Kathanar-The Wild Sorcerer. Another report which is doing the rounds is her remuneration for this film. Reports suggest that for Kathanar, anushka is receiving a fee of Rs 5 crore. No official word on it has been received so far.Anushka Shetty became a known data-face all over india after appearing in the Baahubali films and garnered a strong following in kerala as well. Her popularity in the Malayali speaking diaspora helped her land the role in Kathanar-The Wild Sorcerer. The film also stars Jayasurya and is being directed by Rojin Thomas. anushka joined the sets of Kathanar on march 11.With an impressive investment of Rs 75 crore, this film is poised to become the most significant budget production in the history of malayalam cinema. The production has recently completed the construction of a sprawling studio floor spanning 45,000 square feet, underscoring the scale and ambition of the project. Reports indicate that anushka shetty who has completed 17 years in films was paid up to Rs 3 crore for a film before Baahubali. It is reported that anushka received Rs 6 crore for the movie Miss Shetty, Mr Polly Shetty. Reportedly, this is the highest amount anushka has received since Baahubali 2.Kathanar-The WIld Sorcerer marks Jayasurya’s comeback after a long gap. It is said that anushka will be playing the character of a celestial fairy in this fantasy thriller film. The movie, which will have extensive use of VFX, will be released on a pan-India level. Three schedules of the film have been completed till date.
