Kamal met the Manjummel Boys crew in person..!?
Kamal Haasan personally met and congratulated the latest sensation of the malayalam film industry, Manjummel Boys. Manjummel Boys is a malayalam film that has been released in tamil Nadu after Premam. The reason the film is getting a unanimous reception in tamil Nadu is that its story mostly takes place in Kodaikanal. Almost like a tamil film, it has started to be celebrated in tamil Nadu. Apart from that, the film is based on the true incident that took place in Guna Cave in 2006.
Guna Cave in kodaikanal is a famous tourist spot. Kamal Haasan's movie Guna is the reason why the place became a tourist spot. It got its name as Guna Cave only after the film was shot there. 15 years after the release of Guna, chidambaram is directing the film Manjummel Boys based on the true incident that happened there. When some friends from the Manjumel area of kerala go on a trip to kodaikanal, only one of them gets trapped in the Guna Cave. The story of the film is about how they rescued him. Although it is simple to listen to as a story, it is the way it was shot and the screenplay that has made the film celebrated today. The film has collected more than Rs.50 crore within 7 days of its release.
While Kamal Haasan's Guna film reference is being used in many places in the film Manjummel Boys, actor Kamal Haasan, who saw the film, personally called the film crew and praised him. Guna film director Santana Bharti was also present at that time. Likewise, minister Udayanidhi stalin also invited the film crew of Manjummel Boys to his office and expressed his appreciation to the film crew. The photos taken then go viral on the internet.
