On february 14, Valentine's Day, Dibakar Banerjee's follow-up to his 2010 film "Love, sex aur Dhokha" was revealed. IndiaToday was the only outlet to exclusively hear about it shortly after the announcement stated that the movie will have an appearance by Mouni Roy.
On february 21, information from an industry-unbiased source was made public. They declared, "The eagerly anticipated 'Love, sex Aur Dhokha 2' sequel starring Ektaa R Kapoor will include Mouni Roy. Since the beginning of Mouni's career, when Ektaa debuted her, the two had come a long way. Mouni will appear in the movie as a previously unseen avatar."

On Valentine's Day, the movie poster for "Love, sex, and Dhokha 2" was released. The interesting poster, which implies that the film would be themed on obstacles of love in a technologically-driven society, was leaked by the makers on this particular day of love. "Love sex Aur Dhokha ka dariya hai aur doob ke jaana hai! Valentine's Day nahin aasan, bas itna samajh lijiye!" was the caption on the photo. "#LoveSexAurDhokha2 opens in theatres on april 19 (sic)."
