Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani have known each other since their school time. The two met during an inter-school competition. Bharat and Isha had fallen for each other at first sight. As per several reports, Isha had written her number on a tissue paper and given it to Bharat, and the rest, as they say, is history.
In an interview with india Today, Esha shed light on her love story and said, “We met at the inter-school competition called Cascade, which my school hosted. I wrote my phone number on a piece of tissue and gave it to him. Back then I had braces. So, I always say he truly loved me with braces on. He found me cute.”
While Isha and Bharat did not meet much, they were quite regular on their phone calls. However, one time something happened between the two which led to Esha slapping Bharat. This was when Bharat had tried to hold her hand when they met each other. Esha was hurt by Bharat's words and slapped him. Post this episode, the two did not talk for about 10 years.
