The actor recently joined her 'Barbie' co-stars for a SAG-AFTRA conversation in which she was asked about the Oscars rejection and the Internet's reaction to it. She endorsed Greta and said she should have been nominated.
Margot went on to say, "There's no way to feel sad when you know you're this blessed." According to Variety, she said, "Obviously, I believe Greta should be recognised as a director. What she did was unprecedented in her work and life. It's very remarkable what she accomplished. But it's been a fantastic year for all films."
Despite being overlooked at the Oscars, Margot is 'beyond delighted' with her film's eight Academy Award nominations. These include best picture, adapted screenplay, supporting actor (Ryan Gosling), supporting actress (America Ferrera), costume design, production design, and two nominations for original song.
