Dhanush Stands Out in a Mixed Bag.!
Tamil hero Dhanush stars as the protagonist in the film "Captain Miller," alongside kannada star Siva Rajkumar and telugu hero sandeep Kishan. The movie, which also features priyanka Mohan as the heroine, was initially released on sankranti in tamil and recently made its debut in Telugu. netizens have praised Dhanush's performance in this war-themed film, while Shivraj Kumar and sandeep Kishan are said to have portrayed their roles effectively.
The story is set in the british colonial period, focusing on Agneeswara alias Agni (Dhanush), who joins the british Army to escape caste discrimination in his village. The narrative takes an intriguing turn when Agni, now known as Captain Miller, faces an incident that leads him to leave the british Army. Teaming up with fellow soldier Rafiq (Sandeep Kishan), Agni becomes a thief, stealing an idol from a temple in his village. The plot unfolds as Agni fights against the british invasion of the village.
Despite the positive reception for the performances, trade sources suggest that the film's opening in telugu was poor, estimating it to gross less than one crore rupees. The movie, released on a holiday, is predicted to have a limited impact at the box office. There are discussions within film circles about director Arun Matheswaran facing challenges in terms of writing and execution, contributing to the mixed reception of "Captain Miller."
