Curry & Cyanide creates history on Netflix

The documentary film "Curry and Cyanide," which is based on a true tale, has recently been added to the Netflix OTT platform. The documentary, which focuses on murder cases, is presently available on Netflix and has swiftly grown in popularity since its premiere on december 22nd. The documentary captured everyone's interest in a short period of time on the site, outperforming new releases such as "Adikesava," starring tollywood hero vaishnav tej and Sreeleela, Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawaan," and the hollywood picture "Aquaman."
The interesting documentary constantly ranks in the top ten in 30 countries. "Curry and Cyanide: The Julie Joseph Case," directed by National Award winner Christo Tammy, delves into events inspired by true stories and has received an unexpectedly strong response from audiences. Following the popularity of this documentary, Netflix has added additional documentaries to its 2024 slate.
In 2019, authorities apprehended a woman called Jolly Joseph from Koodathai in Kerala's kozhikode district, shocking the state. Between 2002 and 2016, she killed six people, including her husband and his parents, as well as other family members. Joseph had successfully avoided suspicion each time, until her brother-in-law and sister-in-law became suspicious and proceeded to investigate the family's deaths. Her sole motivation was reported to have been a comfortable, prosperous existence. The case is currently the subject of a Netflix documentary called 'Curry & Cyanide'.
