‘Animal’ box office day 31 - Movie overtakes SRK's 'Pathaan'

'Animal,' directed by sandeep Reddy Vanga, has overtaken Sidharth Anand's action flick, 'Pathaan.' The film earned Rs 4.07 crore in the final weekend of 2023, according to the Sacnilk box office report. After 'Jawan,' 'Animal' has now grossed Rs 544.93 crores (net).

'Animal' has been a significant box office success, grossing Rs 4.07 crore in its sixth weekend, capitalising on the holiday season. The film outperformed Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan,' which had previously grossed Rs 543.09 crore (nett) in India. Despite the entrance of 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire' and 'Dunki,' the picture has managed to maintain its presence in cinemas. However, 'Jawan' remains Ranbir Kapoor's next box office aim. It's a considerable margin to close, with Atlee's film earning Rs 640.25 crore (nett), over Rs 95 crore more than 'Animal'.

'Animal' is sandeep Reddy Vanga's third feature film, following 'Arjun Reddy' and 'Kabir Singh'. The plot revolves around a strained father-son relationship that devolves into carnage and vengeance. Ranbir Kapoor, bobby Deol, rashmika mandanna, Triptii Dimri, and anil kapoor star in the film. On december 1, it was released. 'Animal' outperforms 'Pathaan' to become the second-highest grosser of 2023. The film continues to draw audiences despite new releases, setting its sights on surpassing 'Jawan'.
