 Speaking about the 'Boycott Bollywood' movement, actor suniel shetty questioned where the trolls had disappeared to. Suniel added, "It was just a phase that we rode out," and that the film industry "just went through a bad patch" in an interview with news agency.

"I think it was just a phase, a movement that came and went," Suniel stated in an interview with news. '#Boycott Bollywood' was a significant movement that went viral at the time and caused extra harm to the already existing problems in our business. A lot was going on with Bollywood. However, I was truthful with Yogi-ji (Yogi Adityanath) when we spoke.

Calling it a horrible phase, Suniel

"Now, where are all of these trolls? Is the hashtag still used today? Posting #BoycottBollywood memes on social media with only ten or so people is absurd these days. When it first started going viral, it didn't even make sense. I think we just got through that era. We simply experienced a difficult time," he continued. Previously, in january, Suniel presented a few of the industry's complaints to the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh during a meeting. In january of the previous year, Shetty pleaded with chief minister Adityanath to eradicate the social media trend that went viral and hurt the box office performance of several high-profile movies.
