Sangeeta, who was a leading actress in the 90s, has told in a recent interview that she missed out on an opportunity for Ajith's super hit film. In tamil cinema, in the 90s, sangeetha chose to play a family role and won a place in the hearts of the fans. She made her debut in the malayalam film world as a child star in 1978 and later became famous by playing a character in the movie 'En Ratathin Ratame'.
 Following this, she acted in lead roles in many films including Itiya Vaasal, Nathukkoru Nallavan, Vasantha Malalar, Samundi, Thalatu, and Mahanadi, among others.
But one of the important films that earned her the status of the heroine was 'Poove Unakaga'. Sangeeta acted opposite Vijay in this film. While acting in this film, she also got opportunities to act in Ajith's Kadhal Kottai. However, at that time she was acting as busy in some malayalam films including Vijay's Poove Unakakka, so she refused to act in Ajith's film. But since this film became a super hit, till now she is feeling that she missed that film. She said this information in an interview given to a YouTube channel recently. In the year 2000, she left the film industry after marrying director Saravanan, but now after 23 years, she is again acting in some malayalam and tamil films.
