Cheating Case Against Rajinikanth’s Wife

Latha, Rajinikanth's wife, has experienced a defeat at the hands of the supreme Court. The court has brought her cheating case back to life. The criminal allegations against her were previously rejected by the karnataka High Court. The purported criminal charges against Latha Rajinikanth in connection with the tamil film "Kochadaiiyaan" have been revived by the supreme Court.

Latha was charged with deception and forgery in 2015 as a result of a lawsuit Ad Bureau Advertising Pvt Ltd, a Chennai-based advertising firm, filed. The conflict included money issues pertaining to Mediaone Global Entertainment Limited's film "Kochadaiiyaan." Previously, the karnataka High court dismissed Latha's claims of cheating while allowing trials involving forgeries to continue. Citing a 2018 supreme court ruling that maintained the continuance of criminal proceedings, the supreme Court's latest ruling mandates that Latha either request discharge from the trial court or appear in court.

A bench of Justice AS Bopanna and MM Sundresh passed the order while hearing petitions challenging the karnataka High court judgement. "Accordingly, the SLP(Crl) No. 9818/2022 and SLP(Crl.) No. 8327/2022 is disposed of by restoring the final report filed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner(s) in SLP(Crl.) No.8327/2022 to file an appropriate application, if so advised, seeking discharge," the court said. "We make it clear that if such application is filed on behalf of the petitioner(s), the findings rendered under the impugned order will not stand in the way, and the Trial court is directed," the court said.
