The 2023 South indian International movie Awards (SIIMA) took place on friday night, and it goes without saying that it was a star-studded affair. In order to put on the show honouring the best of South indian cinema, a number of celebrities from the Tamil, telugu, Kannada, and malayalam film industries joined forces. Mrunal Thakur won the Best Debutante prize for her work in the film Sita Ramam, while jr ntr won the Best Actor award for his role in the blockbuster RRR. In telugu and Kannada, respectively, for their films Major and Kantara, adivi sesh and Rishab Shetty also took home the Best Actor in a Leading Role Critics Award.
