Case dismissed against
dhanush &
aishwarya Rajinikanth..!?
Chennai
high court dismissed the case filed against actor
dhanush and
director aishwarya Rajinikanth. The
madras high court quashed the case against the
movie 'Vellai Illa Patadhaari'. The case is that there is no warning in the smoking scenes in the film. The
madras high court has issued such an order only in the appeal filed by
dhanush against this case.
The 2014 Dhanush-starrer is the
movie Vellai Illa Patadhaari. The film caused a lot of controversy due to its high number of smoking scenes. In 2014, a complaint was filed with the
tamil Nadu
government on behalf of the People's Organization for Handicraft Control, especially when the scene of
dhanush smoking a
cigarette was shown.
Saidapet
court was investigating the case. But actor
dhanush approached the
madras high court against this. According to the No Smoking Act of 2003, only advertisements for smoking products have to say so. It's not a tobacco ad, it's a movie.
dhanush argued that this should not be shown in the film. Accepting Dhanush's defense, the
court dismissed the case. It is noteworthy that
aishwarya Rajinikanth's name was also featured in the film as she was the
producer of the film.
dhanush and
aishwarya Rajinikanth are very happy as the case was dismissed.
