Vaibhavi Upadhyaya's fiance Jay gandhi broke the silence on the accident, said- 'We wore seat belts

Recently, tv actress vaibhavi Upadhyay's fiance jai Gandhi, who lost her life in a car accident, has spoken for the first time about the accident and revealed that both of them were wearing seat belts. The sudden demise of TV's young and talented actress vaibhavi Upadhyaya has saddened the entertainment industry as well as her fans. As per reports, the actress was traveling to himachal pradesh with her fiance jai Gandhi in a car when her car rammed into a truck and fell into a gorge. vaibhavi lost her life in this accident, but her fiance jai had a narrow escape. Recently, Jay has spoken for the first time about this incident.

Several reports claimed that vaibhavi was not wearing a seat belt during her journey to Himachal Pradesh. Now, Jay in a conversation with 'ETimes' has denied such reports and clearly stated that both were wearing seat belts. They also told that they were waiting for the truck to pass. 

Jai gandhi said, "There is a perception that you go at speed on a road trip, but it was not so. Our car was parked and we were waiting for the truck to pass. I am not in a position to talk much, But I want to point out that we were wearing seat belts and we were not driving at high speed."

Vaibhav's brother also talked about the accident

In an interview given to 'Etimes', vaibhavi Upadhyay's brother Ankit Upadhyay discussed in detail the car accident. Ankit told how he first got the news from the police, which he was shocked to hear. Ankit shared that vaibhavi and jai were very fond of road trips and had planned a trip from mumbai to Kullu.

Ankit said, "Vaibhavi and jai were very fond of road trips and mountains. They had planned a trip from mumbai to Kullu and they left from here on May 15, 2023, and met with an accident in Banjar." Further in the interview, Ankit told that the place was very narrow (thin road), and heavy vehicles were moving up and down. jai and vaibhavi spot a heavy dumper truck passing by, so they stop and wait, but unfortunately, the truck collides with the car, causing the car to fall into a ditch. 

In his words, "It was a narrow lane and heavy vehicles were going up and down. He saw a large dumper truck coming, stopped his car, and waited for it to pass. As the truck turned, the rear hit the car, which skidded and fell into a ditch. vaibhavi had fallen out of the car. By the time the locals took vaibhavi to the hospital, it was too late."

He also dismissed reports that vaibhavi was not wearing her seat belt. He added that his sister was alert and never sat in a car without a seat belt. He also shared that the doctors have confirmed that vaibhavi was wearing a seat belt, which has been proved by the marks on her neck. 

Ankit says about this, “She was always alert and never sat in a car without a seat belt.
