Massive Flops Scaring Producers And Distributors
Even while not every movie will be a hit, producers and distributors at least want to make money on their films. It appears that a recent batch of films terrified the distributors and producers severely. In the last eight telugu releases, there have been five terrible films, each of which is an epic failure in its own right. The majority of the money is recouped by films with average to mixed reviews, whereas those with negative reviews are doomed to failure.
If a movie doesn't do well, it's getting harder and harder to recoup print and promotion costs. After seeing previous box office failures, the producers are said to be reluctant to take on mid-range projects. Although there is no "Metre" to predict a movie's success, a successful "Dasara" can still occur despite a subpar "Rama Baanam" and a terrible "Raavanasura". What the upcoming films will do financially remains to be seen.
Raavanasura turned out to be an uninteresting thriller. The movie's plot had no shocks, was predictable, and featured ludicrous plot twists. In the role of the antagonist, ravi teja gave a passable performance. Before losing its momentum and failing, the film got off to a dismal start. The young performer believed that Metre would be a better financial risk given that kiran Abbavaram's prior film, Vinaro Bhagyamu vishnu Katha, had underwhelming box office results.
