In a media interview while promoting the movie, actor trisha, who is getting ready for the premiere of her tamil film Raangi, denied rumours that she wanted to become a politician. trisha informed reporters earlier this week that she has no plans to run for office, days after unconfirmed media reports suggested that the star would join the indian national congress (INC). "The likelihood of me running for office is not even 0.00001 percent. I have nothing to do with politics," the actor declared.

M Saravanan, known for his 2011 film Engaeyum Eppothum, is in charge of directing her upcoming action thriller Raangi. The movie, which is produced by lyca productions and is funded by Allirajah Subaskaran, features trisha in the lead role. On december 30, Raangi is scheduled to premiere on television. trisha was questioned about journalist questions she doesn't like at the media interview. The 39-year-old actor replied that she dislikes being questioned about her future plans for marriage. She added that she detests being questioned about her favourite male celebrities.

Contrary to their male counterparts, interviewers routinely ask women performers gender-specific questions in tamil cinema media. The reason trisha said she didn't want to be asked about her favourite male actors is because female actors are frequently questioned about their male co-stars rather than their own work.
