International Film festival begins..! 15 Films selected..!?
The chennai international Film festival is going to be held for a total of 8 days starting today till 22nd December. The international Film festival has been held annually in chennai since 2003. Accordingly, the 20th chennai international Film festival for this year has started today. Information minister Swaminathan will participate in the opening ceremony to be held at Satyam theater in Rayapetta, chennai today at 6 pm and inaugurate the film festival.
102 films from 51 countries will be screened in this film festival which will be held till december 22. Films selected for this film festival will be screened on 4 screens at Satyam theater and Anna Theatre. Some Oscar-nominated films are also selected to be screened at this festival. Every year 12 tamil films are selected to be screened in this film festival.
In that way, 12 tamil films have been selected for screening this year namely Iravin Nizhal, Gargi, O2, nakshatram Nagargudhu, Aadhaar, Mamanithan, Kasadathapara, Baffoon, Nuthupapakkam, Beginning, Yutha Kaandam, Code. Apart from this, 15 indian films are selected for screening in the indian Panorama category every year.
3 tamil films have been selected which are Maalainera Mallipoo, Kadaisi Vivasaayi, and Pothanur Dabaal Nilayam. With this, a total of 15 tamil films will be screened at the chennai Film festival this year.
