Rajini is currently re-committing with his old energy for his upcoming films. Now Rajini is acting in Jailer directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film is produced by sun Pictures. After Jailer, Rajinikanth is going to star in lyca productions under the direction of young director Cibi Chakraborty. Notification for this will be released soon. Confusion has arisen as to which film Rajini is going to act in after Thalaivar 170.
In other words, mani ratnam has got OK by telling a story to Rajini in Thalapathy style. But mani ratnam will commit to his next film only after the release of the second part of Ponniyin Selvan. ponniyin selvan is slated to release in april of next year.
This raises the question of whether Rajini will act in mani ratnam next. Because the great director shankar is going to direct a film with Rajini. It is said that this film will be a historical story if not shivaji 2 or Enthiran 3. shankar has already given blockbuster films to Rajini. And shankar is currently directing a film in telugu with Ramcharan. Similarly, indian 2 is directed by shankar and starred by Kamal Haasan.
The shooting of these two films will be completed soon. Thus, it is expected that Rajini will act in Shankar's film before Mani Ratnam. After that, Rajini is going to team up with Mani Ratnam.
