The Miss World crown was rigged and won!
Priyanka Chopra's recent co-contestant's comment that she won the beauty queen crown the wrong way has become a sensation. Former Miss barbados Leilani has made serious allegations of rigging for the Miss World title. She also said that PC won the competition because of favoritism from the sponsor of the indian show and the participants knew something was going on behind her back.
In her video, Leilani described the 'favor-bias' shown towards priyanka in the competition sponsored by the indian Broadcasting Network. "I literally experienced the same thing at the Miss World pageant. I went ahead even knowing that there was this trend in the competition," said McKinney while sharing photos and screen shots of news snippets.
"I'm Miss Barbados.. I went to Miss World. Miss india won the year I went," she said, adding, "Miss india won last year. An indian cable station sponsored the Miss World pageant."
Recalling her admiration for Priyanka, PC said she passed the swimsuit round 'in dress'. "Priyanka Chopra was the only person allowed to wear a saree in the pageant. She used some skin tone cream to correct her skin tone. It was still splotchy.
I'm not saying it's a bleaching cream. It is a skin-tone cream. It didn't work. So she did not want to remove her saree. So the PC was literally in that dress during the actual judging," she alleged. "If you were a contestant in a pageant...if someone was in your favor...what would you do about it? Why wouldn't you go ahead with it?" she asked.
She also stated that the PC form is also 'not good'. She accused the PC of showing favoritism in helping her in everything including delivering meals to her room, solo press calls, photo shoots. None other than PC was invited from the Asian region. McKinney also claimed that she had done photoshoots with priyanka on the beach even before winning the competition. We are all in this sand pit together,'' she also said.
She added that the designer who designed Chopra's gown also designed the outfits for all the other contestants. But he said that they used to give worst clothes to others. She said that only PC gown was designed without any mistakes. Leilani revealed that the contestants walked off the stage protesting the injustice when priyanka eventually emerged as the winner.
"Everybody knows that priyanka chopra will win the Miss World pageant...in fact it was a rigged victory," she criticized.
