Kantara is poorly made film - Who said this?

Abhiroop Basu, the director, described Kantara as a poorly crafted, noisy, and cliché-filled movie. Rishab Shetty, who also played the lead part, directed the movie. Abhiroop Basu has given his honest view of Kantara, the newest box office success from the kannada film industry, directed by Risbah Shetty. He described the movie Kantara as backward and ridiculous in an interview.


I feel like it makes anyone's intelligence look foolish, he remarked. There is no true character to root for, so-called narrative twists appear dishonest and are essentially gimmicks, the protagonist's redemption arc is ridiculous, and by the time the film reaches the much-discussed finale, I am no longer very interested.


In the film, Rishab Shetty plays a Kambala champion who clashes with Murali, an honourable forest inspector. Additionally playing significant roles in the film are achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, and Sapthami Gowda. Many prominent actors have praised Kantara, including Rajinikanth, kangana ranaut, and vivek Agnihotri. But this movie is criticised by director Abhiroop Basu. Kantara's gross international take has already surpassed the Rs 200 crore mark. In Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, it became a pan-Indian hit.
