For reasons best known to themselves, the widely used OTT service Netflix, which is actively attempting to increase its presence in India, is purchasing megastar Chiranjeevi's films back-to-back. If insiders are to be believed, the top OTT app has already paid a hefty sum for the rights to "Godfather," as well as "Waltair Veerayya" and "Bhola Shankar."
After the title revelation video, in which megastar Chiranjeevi's mass Poonakam truly astounded huge fans, was released, we learned that Netflix had given a fresh proposal to the production company. Waltair Veerayya will be shown on Netflix 50 days after its theatrical premiere, according to the original agreement, which the streaming behemoth is alleged to have paid a hefty sum for. The most recent agreement states that they will increase the payment by additional crores if the filmmakers agree to let them stream the film within 3 or 2 weeks of its first release.
Netflix is rumoured to want to up the payout by approximately 30% if the creators of "Waltair Veerayya" agree to the contract, however the offered sum hasn't been made public yet. One may question whether the big-budget movie from chiru and bobby Kolli is worthwhile to purchase at such a high cost, but it appears that Netflix is unwilling to part with a chiru production.
