TDP requests Balayya to drop 'Reddy' from film title?
Whether it was Samarasimha reddy, Chenna Kesava reddy, or seema Simham, the heroes of Nandamuri Balakrishna's historical factionalism-based films carried the reddy tag and went on to become huge successes. Nandamuri balakrishna is a senior actor and telugu desam party legislator from the Hindupur assembly constituency. It therefore came as no surprise that his upcoming movie, "Veera simha reddy," will also be based on the history of the rayalaseema faction.
In reality, there were rumours that director Gopichand Malineni wanted to give this movie, which is Balakrishna's 107th, a name. He suggested the moniker "Reddy Garu," and the elder actor agreed. However, sources claimed that N Chandrababu Naidu, the tdp chairman and Balakrishna's brother-in-law, did not like the notion of "Reddy" appearing in the movie's title. According to reports, he advised balakrishna to think about removing the term "Reddy" from the title.
