After the success of the film jai Bhim, actor surya played the role of Rolex in the movie vikram starring Kamal Haasan. Since then he is now acting in two movies, Vanagaan and Vadivasal. Until the last year 2011 i.e. Elaam Arivu movie, Suriya had all consecutive hits. Suriya's films like Chillunu Oru Kaadhal, Varanam Aayiram, Ayan, Aadhavan, and Singam all became hits one after the other. All of Suriya's theatrical releases for almost 10 years have turned out to be utter flops. In honor of the recent huge hit Soorarai Potru, Jay Bhim films were also released on the OTT platform.
Due to the success of actor Suriya's subsequent OTT releases, director shankar was planning to make a film with Suriya. shankar had allocated a budget of 1000 crores for the film. A few updates about this film also came from time to time. karan johar is the most popular producer in Bollywood. He has launched the careers of many successful heroes under his dharma Productions. He was making Netflix's investment in Shankar-Suriya's new project.
But karan johar dropped this plan after those around him told him not to trust Suriya and invest such a huge amount as none of his films were hits in the last 10 years. Now they are going to make this project with another pan india star.
