The director of "Baahubali" and "RRR," two of India's biggest box office hits, S.S. rajamouli, claims he is currently working on a "globe-trotter adventure movie" that will be "bigger and better" than his previous productions. rajamouli, who is well-known for his preference for utilising visual effects in his movies, said during a Q&A at the ongoing Toronto international Film festival (TIFF) that his method is intended to not only increase the drama but also the emotional impact during key moments in a movie.
He claimed that over time, he began using visual effects into his films to heighten the spectators' emotional response to particular scenes. Then "I started testing the limits and over time I developed an aptitude for it." Speaking about how his film "Baahubali" became the largest box office success in India, rajamouli claimed that he took the chance to push the envelope and it paid off.
"India has a rich tradition of storytelling, and indians love to tell stories about everything. Even our most profound philosophies are conveyed through stories. I grew up watching the Mahabharta and Ramayana, which are our two most famous epics. Since these (epics) feature so much drama and action, the telugu film business really produces more films based on the Ramayana and Mahabharata than any other indian film industry." rajamouli claimed that he began with the idea that the telugu film industry may go beyond its geographical data-borders if he could adapt the same stories (not as they are) with so much drama and action for the screen.
