Telugu states keep 'Liger' afloat

After receiving mixed reviews on opening day, the "Liger" producers revealed on friday that the film had made Rs 33.12 crore on Day One globally across all languages. That may surpass the first-day revenue of "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2," Bollywood's biggest mainstream blockbuster this year, which grew in popularity over the following days. However, trade news websites are being cautious with their numbers. According to Bollymoviereviewz.com, "Liger" has made a total of Rs 28.1 crore worldwide, including Rs 3.63 crore from America. The total indian portion of this is Rs 19 crore.

Again, this is higher than the first-day earnings of "Samrat Prithviraj," "Shamshera," "Raksha Bandhan," and "Laal Singh Chaddha," but it is evident from all available data that "Liger" has performed well solely in the two Telugu-speaking states. Even so, it has the seventh-highest opening for a telugu movie this year (single-language or dubbed), trailing only "RRR," "KGF 2," Mahesh Babu's "SVP," "Radhe Shyam," "Acharya," and "F3." It is clear that the strategy of casting a South indian celebrity in a bollywood film in the hopes that it will halt the current box office slump hasn't been successful.

The eagerly awaited puri jagannadh film, which stars vijay deverakonda and ananya Panday in the key parts, opened to extremely high anticipation on Thursday. The film entered a boycott issue and is thought to being Devarakonda's pan-Indian debut. Despite Devarakonda's strong performance, a weak plot also didn't help, according to trade analysts. "Liger," which is thought to have cost around Rs 100 crore, appears to be facing at the prospect of not being able to recoup the investment. However, the film's creators are optimistic due to the response in the two Telugu-speaking states.
