SIBY JEYYA
With the release of her most recent film, dhaakad, kangana ranaut had to see a speed breaker. The actress has a string of hit films and that too the ones with herself leading them. She must have thought dhaakad would be a huge hit as well, but the action-thriller ended up going in a another direction.

Dhaakad, a spy thriller directed by Raznesh Ghai, was released alongside Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyya, however the latter turned out to be a box office smash while kangana Ranaut's movie was a complete flop. The full run receipts for dhaakad, which reportedly cost over Rs 85 crore, did not exceed Rs 5 crore. producer deepak was said to have had to liquidate his office and a number of other properties to make up for dhaakad losses, but he debunked all of those rumours.

The rumours, according to Deepak, the producer of dhaakad, are absurd and entirely false. He added that he had been able to recoup the majority of the investment made for dhaakad and would do so in the future as well. The producer stated that he thought dhaakad would be a huge hit at the box office but he was unsure of the error. He continued by saying that since viewers can choose to watch a movie or skip it, the outcome of the film is ultimately in their control. Finally, deepak stated that his film crew is pleased to have produced a movie with a female lead.
