Abhishek's Dasvi: 12 Central Jail inmates pass exam!

Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam's 'Dasvi' may have released two months ago, but its impact still remains. Allegedly inspired by the film, 12 prisoners lodged in agra Jail continued their studies and passed their board exams. Let us tell you, the shooting and screening of 'Tenth' was done in the jail itself. This is the reason that it is being said that the effect of this film has been on the real life of the jail inmates.



In the film, 'Ganga ram Choudhary' (Abhishek Bachchan) played the role of an illiterate, corrupt and desi politician at heart, who data-faces a new challenge in prison and makes his move towards being educated. Nimrat played the role of Bimala Devi, the wife of Choudhary, who holds his chief minister's seat. Yami played the role of IPS officer Jyoti Deswal in this film.



Senior superintendent VK Singh told PTI, "Three inmates have secured first class rank in class X, while six inmates have got second class rank. Apart from this, all the three prisoners have got second class in class 12th. Prisoners Jitendra (64.83 per cent), arjun (63.16) and Shilesh (62.83) have passed from the First Division. Whereas, Rajendra Singh, Vijay, Premveer, Ramesh, dharmendra and Virendra passed the second division. Similarly, in Intermediate, Shishupal Singh, hari Singh and Jitendra have passed the examination in the second division.



Singh said, “It is a happy moment for us and the prisoners, as they have passed the test behind bars with their determination. This will inspire other prisoners as well. The passing prisoners will come out of the jail. They will achieve their goal. The prison has a library for the study of prisoners, and those who need any help in study get help from postgraduate prisoners".



The actor and his film team have sent a congratulatory message to the superintendent on the prison inmates passing the exam. abhishek bachchan has also called it a positive result. He said the response to his film "Dasvi" was "bigger than any award". On the other hand, Tushar Jalota, director of the film said, 'We always wanted to have a film that broadcasts the importance of education. It was a unique experience for us.



It may be noted that the film Tenth was shot in the Central Jail in february and march 2021. After this the team went by giving books to the prisoners to read. It is being told that it had an effect on the prisoners.
