Doctor Strange 2 Trailer Supports Best Theory About Scarlet Witch's Kids

The latest trailer for doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness backs up the greatest theory for how Scarlet Witch's children will return. The doctor Strange sequel starring Benedict Cumberbatch would strongly tie into WandaVision, the Disney+ show starring Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff, was confirmed when Marvel Studios announced its Phase 4 slate. Viewers didn't get to see the series and learn how it connected to doctor Strange 2 until early 2021. After altering reality to create her own family, Marvel Studios used the programme to expand the Scarlet Witch's story into the multiverse, only to have it all taken away from her in the end.

Scarlet Witch heard her kids, Billy and Tommy Maximoff, begging for her to help them in WandaVision's post-credits scene, hinting at what this could imply for doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 film's early marketing didn't include any obvious references to this scenario, a new trailer alters that. In their Westview house from the Disney+ show, a version of Wanda is shown conversing with Billy and Tommy. The sequence depicts a brand-new relationship between a mother and her sons, and the teaser appears to back up a common hypothesis about how Scarlet Witch's children would appear in doctor Strange 2.

Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch's conversation overlaps in the current doctor Strange 2 trailer as they speak the same sentence from an earlier trailer: "I've remained dreaming, the same nightmare, and every morning, the same horror." As Wanda reunites with Billy and Tommy, the line plays, signifying that this is the dream/nightmare she keeps reliving. The hypothesis that the Marvel antagonist known as Nightmare presently holds Scarlet Witch's twins could be correct after all, thanks to this latest reference.
