Decisive Day for Dileep; Will Karma Win?

There is evidence of a conspiracy. The prosecution said that director Balachandra Kumar had handed over the audio and evidence. In that case, the court asked why Balachandra Kumar was not the first informer in the case. The high court will hear the petition filed by actor dileep seeking quashing of the conspiracy case today.


During the hearing yesterday, Justice Siyad rahman raised some questions, including whether mere words were a conspiracy. However, the prosecution said that there was conclusive evidence against dileep and that Balachandra Kumar's statement confirmed this.



Dileep claims that the police are torturing him in connection with the conspiracy case. Dileep's lawyer had told the court that his house had been raided several times in the name of the case and that the crime branch was fabricating false stories against the accused, including his family members.  The court also asked not to commit a crime on the basis of conspiracy in yesterday's argument. The prosecution replied that what dileep said was not just words.

The high court had earlier stated in its bail order that there was no prima facie evidence against him. He added that the investigation team is blaming himself and his family en masse. dileep told the court that police even raided his 87-year-old mother's room. dileep also complained that the investigating officers were constantly raiding his house.
