Is this a historical time in which gandhi lost his relevance?

Nowadays the use of symbols in cinema has increased. rrr is the latest example. If we add the films being released one after the other and the historical references used in them, then it is understandable how the things seen in politics are proving to be effective in other places as well. Officially, rrr is also being promoted on social media as indian tradition and Hindutva film. social media will be flooded with people explaining how the South views tradition and makes cinema in comparison to the anti-Hindu lobby of Bollywood.

Looks like it's time for a historic change. In which at least Gandhi-Nehru is not relevant. So is it to be believed that the new system is Hindutva which ruins Gandhi? 

There are pictures of Chhatrapati shivaji Maharaj, Sardar Vallabhbhai patel, Tanguturi Prakasam, Subhash chandra bose and many other Jannayaks but there is no reference to mahatma Gandhi. Whereas Alluri Sitaram Raju himself had jumped into the freedom struggle only after being influenced by Gandhi. 

People are surprised by this and are asking questions about gandhi by sharing collage photos of great men seen in Etthara Jenda Song. However, in defense of these questions, it is being said that the reason behind this is only that the film is on the revolutionary life of two freedom fighters. That is why there is no reference to gandhi in it.

 Gandhi is the epitome of a non-violent revolution and not a violent struggle for freedom. Whereas in all the films made on Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, the context of gandhi comes as it should. Now it may be asked that patel was not a revolutionary. Was he not used because of his Hindutva image? 

Apart from the debate, when we look at other things on social media, it is difficult to deny for one time that - it is just normal. As people are saying in defense. Dozens of such mythological-historical symbols have been used in the film, whose symbols are not difficult to understand. And there's nothing bad about it. 

A lot of religious references have been taken from Ramayana and Mahabharata in rrr and people are also reciting it from a personal perspective on social media. Positive memes are being shared.

All the stories, plays and books were written inspired by both the epics. rajamouli himself has told many times how much effect Ramayana and Mahabharata have on him. From his magadheera to Bahubali, the effect is also clearly visible in both the parts. From the point of view of the current ecosystem, all the things seen in rrr can be considered inspired by the politics of Hindutva.
