Street plays, according to ayushman khurana, "provided the groundwork for me to become a daring performer." Vicky Toner marked Ayush Kumar Khurana's bollywood debut in 2012. Supmangal Chawtan has starred in a number of successful films, including Andathoon and Article 15. He has been performing in plays for five years and has undergone extensive training. Many people may not be aware that Ayushman performed in numerous plays at Shimla's Kitty theater during his undergraduate years.

He was also a founding member of the DAV college theatrical companies Agas and Manjanthandra, both of which are still active in Chandigarh. ayushman khurana issued a reassuring statement for actors on the occasion of World theater Day, saying, "Street plays have helped me tremendously in my career as a scriptwriter. That's where my acting career began, and the plays gave me the courage to believe that I could entertain others with my abilities. The basis for me to become a truly courageous performer was built by street plays. I'm not frightened of taking chances. I owe this to the theatre profession, because it was the plays that moulded me into the person I am today."

He further said, "If I want to improve as an artist, I need to be free of obstacles. Drama is a limitless form of self-expression, and I'm continually choosing challenging characters to illustrate my point of view on what constitutes a successful performance. Plays can also be used to reflect on ourselves. We have the ability to criticise ourselves not only in terms of the community, but also in terms of who we are becoming. I gained a lot from theatre, including the fact that as a playwright, you are constantly challenged to push the bounds of performing in order to better penetrate and entertain your audience. I attempt to emulate what I learned from performing in the play when it comes to film performance and screenplay choices."
