Big Hero Cover Losses in a Smart Way?
Despite his disappointment with the box office performance, akshay kumar is alleged to have stepped into the fray to re-negotiate a contract with amazon Prime Video. In fact, the film was sold to amazon Prime for 60 crores and would be broadcast six weeks after its premiere. According to the newest reports, Akshay has negotiated a deal in which the film will be aired just four weeks after its launch date, and the OTT behemoth has increased Akshay's salary to a whopping 80 crores.
Even a 20-crore increase is a significant deal with the way Bachchaan Paanday is succeeding at the ticket sales, and we have to applaud akshay kumar for hammering out such a deal. Earlier, dil Raju's Vakkeel Saab secured a similar agreement with amazon Prime, and it appears that OTTs want to broadcast the films as quickly as possible after their release date in order to maximise popularity.
